Professional therapeutic massage can help speed healing of injured muscles, ligaments, tendons, and other soft tissue. Many times, after an auto accident impact, people do not realize the extent of their injury until a few days after the incident - at the time of an accident, adrenalin kicks in, and the shock of the situation might override the awareness that you have sustained a significant injury. Whether you have gone to the hospital at the time of the injury, seen a doctor afterwards, or have taken pain medication and hoped that the pain would just "go away" or resolve on its own, you may benefit tremendously from expert muscle treatment.
Our staff has extensive training and skills in Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue massage, Trigger Point therapy, as well as injury-specific protocols and expertise in pain relief.
In addition to the hands-on work that we do, we also incorporate the BodyCushion Body Support System positioning bolsters, and FIR (Far Infrared Heat) used topically. It has been our experience that having the client properly supported and positioned on the table is a great help to engendering relaxation, and allowing the areas of the body that are in pain to begin to release.
The BodyCushion positioning bolsters gently allow the body to be supported by the skeletal frame, and allow the natural curves of the neck and back to relax. It also allows the person being treated to breath easier, and accommodates many different body sizes and types in comfort. Many people tell us that getting a treatment on this positioning system feels like "floating", or that it is the first time they've been able to truly relax into a bodywork treatment.
